| Form and Function You must be living right because you have found the Winescape. You are looking at the only wine rack of its kind. Not only does the Winescape take up no living space, and display all labels at all times, it is also entirely hand made of all natural fine domestic and exotic hardwoods. The wood specie you see here is called Purpleheart. Other racks either consume precious living space, are made of metal or some other industrial material, or they hide the wine labels. Most of them commit all of those offenses. A single bottle of wine on a counter top takes up more space than a case of wine held by a Winescape. The Winescape actually creates space. With the labels of all of your bottles visible at all times, its function goes from a display to a unique style of consumable art. This is art that changes because you drink it. It is also a great way to show off your wine. This clean unique form needed a special mounting system. The result was hidden mounts with incredible security and stability. This design ensures that the bottles do not come out accidentally. Due to the force of gravity and the design of the holes mated to the bottles, they are held very securely and must be removed intentionally. Ever hold a bottle by its neck? Of course you have. Every hole and ellipse and edge are designed to serve these needs beautifully. |
