Wood and Finish
We use a finish on our 'wenge' style wood to get it to the right depth of black. All other racks are all natural
as shown and receive a fine wax and oil finish. If you want to stain your rack it can be delivered bare. Each
piece of wood is completely unique. All pieces have variations in grain and other characteristics which
contribute to their natural beauty.
Design
What distinguishes the Winescape is the use of premium hardwoods, the hidden mounts, and its sturdiness
when mounted. A rack made from metal or other more industrial material is a question of taste. The
mounting system, however, is a question of safety and security. Most wall mounted wine racks do not
directly touch your wall. They are set away from the wall by spacers. Add a case of wine to that and you
have the definition of precarious. The Winescape, however, is rock solid and can support triple the weight of
its bottle capacity.
Patents Pending
Please do not tell us that you tried to make a copy of one of these and are ready to buy one. It does
happen. That is a federal matter and we are required to notify. Buy one by all means but leave out that first
part. This does look simplistic but after alot of experience and some very nice wood, it still takes hours of
care.
Specifications
The Winescape is fit to hold standard wine bottles(750ml) as shown. Once a bottle is inserted, the ends of
each hole are specially designed to hold it securely without falling out. The two styles shown on this site are
not for use in moving craft such as yachts or RV's. There is another design available for those applications.
Instructions are included with each rack as well as two specially rated screws for mounting. Due to weight,
the Winescape must be mounted to a wall stud(2x4) within the wall or similar structure. Length varies by
capacity. The total width with bottles is 20 inches. Allow for 3 more inches on each side for room to take
your bottles in and out.
Shipping and Returns
Shipping ranges from $17 to $22 depending upon the size. If your rack was not mounted we can accept a
return or an exchange.
